Our Year 6 students had a fantastic day visiting Armadale Senior High School and getting a taste of what high school will be like next year.
The students had the chance to explore different learning areas and take part in lots of hands-on activities. Digital Technologies was a favourite, with students enjoying Virtual Reality, animation and the driving simulator. They also had lots of fun with science experiments using dry ice, woodwork and art.
The art lesson gave students the chance to be creative and try something different, and of course, the sausage sizzle was a big hit!
It was lovely hearing the students talk about their favourite parts of the day. Many came away feeling more confident and excited about starting high school next year, and for some, the experience even changed their minds about which high school they would like to attend.
