Traveling to School

Car park procedures

Parents who deliver or collect children by car are asked to exercise utmost care at these busy times of the day. The maximum speed limit in the school precinct is 40 km/h. Parent street parking is available along Brookdale Drive. The Brookdale Drive kiss n go carpark adjacent to A Block is open before and after school for student collection. We ask that families are respectful of others and do not stop in the loop if their child is not yet ready for collection.

We recommend speaking to your child about correct bicycle and pedestrian procedures and the importance of wearing a helmet when cycling to school.

Bike policy

Please ensure students walk their bikes, scooters, and skateboards through the school and park them in the racks next to the Breakfast Bowl. Bike racks are locked at 8.40AM and unlocked at 2.30PM.

Bicycles, scooters, and skateboards are not insured by the school and losses remain the responsibility of the parents/guardians.

Your Move Program

Neerigen Brook is a proud participant of the Department of Transport’s Your Move program, which aims to promote active travel and healthy habits to all students and families. The school earns points by completing fun activities and uploading the results on the Your Move site. We have achieved the highest accreditation available in 2021 – Double Platinum – and want to thank everyone for their hard work.

Please speak with Heather Barrett or Mel Vivian to find out how you can get involved.
